Along with Lochlan and War, I
also brought Melba this year. Melba is a Dynamo! At only 3 pounds, Melba
runs her little heart out. Always the tiniest dog in the 8" division,
Melba has consistently placed very well against dogs much larger and
heavier than she. Unfortunately, she loses so much time on the seesaw
because she doesn't have enough weight to push it down fast. On many
occasions, the seesaw doesn't move and I have to ask the judge if I can
push it down. Melba also grows very impatient waiting for the board to
drop and often launches herself from it. She is a bit of a kamikaze and
she always has me on edge. Melba had 7 top ten placements this year at
the World Games and was the only dog out of all the ones my sister and I
brought that wasn't tired at the end of each day. I wish I had an ounce
of her energy.
