I wish I could clone him he is such an amazing dog.  He has tons of drive, a work ethic that doesn't quit and is brilliantly smart.  I am constantly coming up with games for War to learn to keep him busy.  At this point in his training, he has about a 50 'word cue' vocabulary and she continues to add more as his training progresses.

War is a dominant male and has tested every boundary possible with Kris, however, after working with him and being a  strong leader, War no longer feels the need to dominant every situation.  He is always cleverly getting into trouble and finds many ways to cover his tracks.  Kris often says, "Why can't you be more like your brother Lochlan?"

War's best friend is Kris's rescue Keeshond Hermione.  They can literally play for hours and drive everyone crazy with their wrestling antics.  When Hermione and War are away from each other for a period of time,

War's heritage is strictly Scottish.  Both his parents are imports from Scotland and are two of the top herding dogs in the United States.

War is an Agility Dog Champion and is working in the Excellent level in AKC  competitions.  At the 2006 North East Regional, he was a Steeplechase Finalist 26" division.  In 2007 at the North East Regional War placed second in the Grand Prix Final.

War participated in the 2006 World Cynosport Games in Scottsdale, AZ and posted some of the fastest times in the team events.  He is qualified for the 2007 World Games and will travel with his brother to Arizona this November.

Kris looks forward to War's career in agility and his great potential, but most of all, he's developing into a wonderful dog.  Nothing phases him, he's as stable as they come, something Kris isn't used to.  Even going to a Met Game with over 50,000 people in the stands cheering didn't bother him.

2006 Cynosport World Games - just over two years old, War posted some very respectable times.  He had one of the fastest times in Team standard at 26" and this included one refusal.  The World Games were a great experience for such a young boy.

"A Jump Sequence with WAR"

"The Approach"

"The Set Up for the Jump - Weight is shifted to War's rear in order to collect his stride"

"The Rear Shifts back to Power the Jump take off"

"Vertical lift close to the Bar"

"Flight as War watch's Kris who begins to cut in front of his Path"

"Horizontal position to the jump with rear tucked and right lead leg starts the turn"

"Lead switch complete as Kris rotates in front of War's Path to change his direction"

"The Landing with turn complete"

As you can tell from War's expression throughout the jump sequence he shows no mercy for his handler.  He's hot on her heals and expects Kris to stay ahead of him.  One mistake or lack of timing and the front cross will fail.  All this happens with split second timing and trust in the working relationship.
